At this time two short weeks ago I was digging holes outside a little church in the Dominican Republic, just beginning to realize how special (and sweaty) the week was going to be. 

I was asked to lead this trip about a week and a half before it was supposed to leave. It would have been easier to say no, being in the midst of the other million things I had to do. But I knew that the rewards would be great. I always have a hard time saying no to a challenge. 

And the rewards were greater than I could have imagined. The team, 13 people from a youth group in Maryland, truly sought out the heart of God and became his hands and feet. People came together in unity to bring the Kingdom, transcending nationality, race, gender, age and all else to achieve the common goal of increasing God's love in the world.

We prayed for God to work outside our means and He did - unity that surpasses human understanding & ability. Amen!
